The building is a former church hall and has a large main space available for hire. The hall has seen a variety of visitors through it’s doors; from Tea Dances to art exhibitions, the hall is currently used as a rehearsal space for bands and as a meeting place for a range of groups, as well as a place to hold one off events.
Recording Studio
Interplay is lucky enough to have a recording studio on the premises, boasting industry standard equipment and software including Pro-Tools, Reason, Cubase, Logic and Ableton. We use the studio during our Work Related Learning program Tools for the Trade and the studio is available to hire for bands wishing to record.
Film Suite
Interplay has a film editing suite of high specification Apple Mac computers with film capture facilities and editing software. The company also has a three high specification video cameras.
Radio Room
As part of the I Love West Leeds festival Interplay hosted community radio from the transmission room and young people made use of the facilities to create their own podcasts and broadcast them citywide. Currently not in use, the radio room is great for school projects as a way for learners to explore the curriculum creatively.
Kitchen
Interplay’s kitchen facilities are available to all groups who hire the building, and comes equip with a widescreen TV and Freeview channels, toaster, kettle, mircrowave, two fridges and a sink.
