Film is the medium through which Interplay is able to engage
with young people and start to unlock their stories.
Interplay believes that everyone has a story to tell and
it is these real stories, told by local people, which lie at the heart of
Interplay’s film philosophy.
As part of the process, participants receive training in
scriptwriting, acting, filming and production techniques. This hands-on approach enables them to take
a more critical approach to their work and offers them sustainable skills that
can benefit them in the future. Ongoing
partnerships with established festivals, such as Leeds Young People’s Film
Festival, also ensure that their work is professionally showcased to a
discerning audience.
